We are not going to support the call to enbloc at all. We are ANTI
enbloc.
After seeing the recent disbanding of the first en bloc committee,
we heaved a sigh of RELIEF that we were going to be left in peace to
enjoy living in Clementi Park. Quiet enjoyment only lasted a few
weeks and now a second different committee is trying to sell our
homes away...
To them we say, OH NO, NOT AGAIN!
Please leave us to enjoy living in this clean and green estate
without subjecting us to the upheaval of having to look for a new,
smaller place to live! When viewed against replacement cost, the
money you get from enbloc is NOT a windfall!
There are lots of miserable, displaced enblocers out there. We do
not want to be among them!
Moreover, we have already started on the road to UPGRADING to the
tune of almost $2m. Our upgrading will only complete around May
2008. Surely we should be able to enjoy our fresh look without
expecting the wrecking ball in two or so years? What a waste of our
sinking fund!
