Do you really think a new condo which you have to buy after an enbloc is not gonna bleed you dry?
Newer condos have higher maintenance. And really, I have many friends who paid
- higher psf price for the new condo
- got a smaller space
- smaller rooms
- not outdoors at all
- kids play in concrete parks
and worst of all, they don't make structures as sturdy as before!
- the walls are thinner
- the swimming pool leaks into the underground carpark
- the defects are endless
- management is not on site
- the 'smart' lift breaks down - a lot
So before you decide that repairs in an older condo are a reason to get rid of your home - reflect if you will - new isn't always better!
